Funding instruments

for development and implementation of Joint Programmes

In this chapter we list the most common funding instruments that can be used either in the development or in the implementation phase of the JP. The Erasmus+ programme offers several actions to support the development and implementation of the JPs as well as funding instruments to support the mobility of individuals, staff and students during the programme.

EIT (European Institute for Innovation and Technology) is a unique EU body bringing together organizations across business, education, and research. The goal of EIT and its KICs (Knowledge and Innovation Communities) is to train the next generation of entrepreneurs through entrepreneurial education programmes at master’s and doctoral level.

The Digital Europe Programme (DIGITAL) is a new EU funding programme focused on bringing digital technology to businesses, citizens and public administrations. In addition, there are some more geographically limited funding instruments to support development of JPs, either on national level or covering some specific geographical area. This list of funding opportunities is not exhaustive and also new funding instruments may appear.
